Why Donate?
MDF the BiPolar Organisation Cymru relies heavily on donations from people like you to ensure that we are able to continue our work. We welcome both one-off gifts and regular donations.
We provide vital practical support to help people with bipolar disorder. We believe that self-help and learning more about the illness are crucial parts of the key to recovery. It is invaluable (especially to people who are newly diagnosed) to have someone to turn to who has real knowledge of handling life with bipolar disorder.
This is where MDF the BiPolar Organisation Cymru can step in. We believe that, with the right support, people can find positive and fulfilling ways to rebuild their lives.
We offer our members the following practical and local support:
- Information on the condition (research, treatments and new therapies) for the thousands of people who contact us for guidance every year.
- Emotional and practical support at grassroots level through people who also have the condition via our local self-help groups.
- Access to training courses in self-management techniques.
- A telephone advice line on legal, employment and benefits issues.
- Support and advice on returning to work.
- Access to travel and life assurance.
Without the vital donations of people like you, we would not be able to ensure we continue to provide this unique form of support and information.
Here are some examples of what your donation could be used to help us provide:
- £10 funds one call to the Legal Advice Line
- £20 funds 20 copies of our quarterly journal 'Pendulum'
- £50 enables us to send out 50 information packs
- £100 supports the annual running costs of one local self-help group
- £500 enables a new self-help group to start up
- £1,000 funds two places on our Self-Management Training Programme
